Blogging with ELAN
Blogging with ELAN, Uncategorized No Comments »Let’s start with where we’re at: getting our heads around how this can work.
Blogs are usually posted by one person, whereas WIKIS are collaborative. Blogging sites are, however, ‘cleaner’. Entries are posted and can be overwritten in edits. Posts are archived. In a WIKI every edit becomes part of the presentation, which can be distracting and confusing. A blog suits our purposes.
Potentially any ELAN member can post and comment. This requires ELAN to become an edublog supporter through the payment of a nominal fee. Currently we are running a trial to assess the interest and viability of an ELAN blog – an interactive web site for English and Language Arts teachers in Ontario. Please send your posts to carolyn.hassard@peelsb.com to be posted. Everyone is free to comment.
